The milestone timeline
At-a-glance milestone view of records moving through your streams. Each record's planned dates and step transitions appear as sticky-note cards on a horizontal axis, with a red line marking today. Page loads use a cached snapshot; pressing Refresh burns 1 token to pull fresh data. The Timeline link only appears in the sidebar when the Timeline plugin is enabled on /plugins. Owners and admins only: member-role logins are redirected away, because it spans every stream and its Refresh button spends a token.
Enabling Timeline
- 1
Go to /plugins (owner/admin only).
- 2
Find the Timeline card and toggle Enabled on.
- 3
The "Timeline" link now appears in the sidebar, above Support.
Switching what cards show
- 1
Use the Cards toggle at the top of the page to choose what each card represents.
- 2
*Planned dates* uses
date-typed metadata fields with a value (e.g. lease_finalised_date, soft_open_date) - matches a paper-style milestone plan. - 3
*Step transitions* uses activity_log entries from when records moved between steps - actual history.
- 4
*Both* shows planned dates and transitions together.
Switching layout
- 1
Use the Layout toggle to choose between *One axis per record* (each record stacked into its own row) and *Shared axis* (all records on one axis, entity name shown on each card).
- 2
Stacked is clearer when you have several records; shared is more compact for one or two.
Filtering the view
- 1
Three filter chip groups appear below the view-mode toggles: Streams, Assigned-to, and Records.
- 2
Click chips to toggle items in or out. Use Clear all / Select all at the top of each group.
- 3
Filter changes are instant and free - no token burn.
Refreshing data
- 1
Click Refresh in the top bar (or in the empty-state CTA on first visit).
- 2
This burns 1 token and re-pulls the latest snapshot. The "Last refreshed" timestamp updates.
- 3
If you are out of tokens, Refresh returns an out-of-tokens error and the existing snapshot stays in place - top up or upgrade your plan to refresh again.
