Team members and security requirements
Invite team members, manage roles, and control who has access to your organisation. Owners and admins can manage users.
Inviting a new team member
- 1
Click "Add Member" or the invite button.
- 2
Enter the person's name and email address.
- 3
Choose a role: Admin (full access except billing), or Member (access only to assigned streams).
- 4
Click Invite. They'll receive an email with login instructions.
Editing a team member's details
- 1
In the team list, click the chevron at the end of a member's row to expand it.
- 2
The Details panel lets you change two things, then click Save details:
Changing a user's role
- 1
Find the user in the team list.
- 2
Click the role badge or the edit button next to their name.
- 3
Select the new role from the dropdown.
- 4
Save. Changes take effect immediately.
Removing a team member
- 1
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the user.
- 2
Choose Remove Member.
- 3
The user loses access immediately. Any records assigned to them remain assigned - reassign these manually if needed.
Understanding roles
- 1
Owner: full access including billing and org deletion. One per org.
- 2
Admin: full access to streams, records, users, and plugins. Cannot manage billing.
- 3
Member: can only see streams they've been granted access to. Cannot create streams or invite users.
Requiring two-factor authentication or passkeys (Security requirements)
- 1
In the Security requirements section at the top of the page, turn on "Require two-factor authentication" and/or "Require passkeys".
- 2
Once on, every member is sent to a security setup screen the next time they use the app and must enrol the required factor before they can continue.
- 3
If you turn on both, a member only needs to set up one of the two (a passkey OR an authenticator app) to satisfy the requirement. Passkeys are phishing-resistant and recommended.
- 4
The requirement applies to everyone, including owners and admins - you'll be prompted to set it up yourself too.
- 5
The section shows how many members are currently compliant. Turn the toggles off at any time to stop enforcing.
What people ask about this
- How do I invite a new team member?
- What's the difference between admin and member roles?
- How do I give a member access to a specific stream?
- How do I remove someone from the organisation?
- How do I require everyone to use two-factor authentication or a passkey?
Inside the app there is an assistant that answers these from your own written process, not just from ours.
