Importing records from a CSV

Bulk-import records into a stream from a CSV file. Map CSV columns to stream fields, preview the data, and create up to 1,000 records at once.

Importing records from a CSV

  1. 1

Select the stream you want to import into from the dropdown.

  2. 2

Select or create the record type for the imported records.

  3. 3

Click Next, then upload a CSV file (must have a header row).

  4. 4

Map each CSV column to a stream field using the dropdowns. Columns with matching names are auto-mapped.

  5. 5

Unmapped columns are skipped. Click Preview to see the first 10 rows as they will be imported.

  6. 6

Click Import to create all records. Each record starts at the first step of the stream.

Tips for successful imports

  1. 1

Ensure your CSV has a header row - the first row is used as column names.

  2. 2

Field names in the CSV should match your stream field names for auto-mapping.

  3. 3

Number fields are automatically converted. Boolean fields accept true/yes/1.

  4. 4

Maximum 1,000 records per import. Split larger files into batches.

  5. 5

All records are created as the selected record type at step 1 of the stream.
